A bit about me.

I'm a software engineer with 6 years of professional experience. I am fascinated with building things and understanding more about the world. What first drew me to programming was its ability to turn ideas into reality, and I enjoy collaborating with others to do that.

I grew up in the Chicago area and currently live in San Francisco. Outside of technology, I enjoy listening to music (obsessed with Tinashe and dvsn at the moment), working out (and eating burritos after), and dance (hip-hop mostly).

Vendure US Sales Tax Plugin

Vendure is an open source e-commerce platform, built for extensibility and with modern tooling (TypeScript/Node/NestJS/GQL/Postgres Stack). I've been using Vendure for a project of my own for the past few months. Most of the code I produced was closed-source, but I wanted to try making an open source plugin for Vendure and publishing it on npm. Since Vendure has no US tax capabilities built in, and no existing plugins for this purpose, I decided to make a plugin that calls an API (from a company called Ninja API) to determine sales tax based on zipcode, and integrates this data into Vendure's order/checkout process.

Art Generator iOS App

AI has made some huge leaps in the past couple years. I wanted to get my hands dirty with some of OpenAI's models. I decided to try out DALLE-2, which is an image generation model. This is a simple iOS app that makes API calls to this model and displays images, with a few additional features.

EdTech iOS App

I developed the initial version of this augmented reality iPad app as the co-founder of Explore (now called MindLabs). Students can use this app to learn science concepts (e.g. circuits) without the need for lab materials.
